1. Introduction / 简介

Bowen Education Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people. This policy applies to all staff, volunteers, and anyone working on behalf of our organization.

4. Designated Safeguarding Lead / 指定保护主管

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is responsible for:

  • Managing safeguarding concerns / 管理保护问题
  • Liaising with local authorities and other agencies / 与地方当局和其他机构联络
  • Providing support and advice to staff / 为员工提供支持和建议

5. Staff Recruitment and Training / 员工招聘和培训

5.1 Safer Recruitment / 更安全的招聘

All staff and volunteers undergo:

  • Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks / 增强型DBS检查
  • Reference checks from previous employers / 前雇主推荐信核查
  • Identity verification / 身份验证
  • Right to work in the UK verification / 英国工作权验证

5.2 Training / 培训

All staff receive:

  • Safeguarding induction training / 保护入职培训
  • Regular safeguarding updates / 定期保护更新
  • Specific training for designated roles / 指定角色的专门培训
  • Prevent duty training (counter-terrorism) / 预防义务培训(反恐)

6. Recognizing Abuse / 识别虐待

Types of abuse include:

  • Physical abuse: Hitting, shaking, throwing, burning, or otherwise causing physical harm
  • Emotional abuse: Persistent emotional maltreatment causing severe adverse effects
  • Sexual abuse: Forcing or enticing a child to take part in sexual activities
  • Neglect: Persistent failure to meet a child's basic physical and psychological needs

7. What to Do If You Have Concerns / 如果您有顾虑该怎么办

If you have concerns about a child's welfare:

  1. Listen: Allow the child to speak freely without leading questions
  2. Reassure: Tell them they've done the right thing by speaking to you
  3. Do not promise confidentiality: Explain you may need to share the information
  4. Record: Write down exactly what was said as soon as possible
  5. Report: Immediately inform the Designated Safeguarding Lead

9. Online Safety / 在线安全

We are committed to protecting children online by:

  • Monitoring and filtering internet access / 监控和过滤互联网访问

  • Implementing secure online platforms for virtual classes / 为虚拟课程实施安全的在线平台

10. Confidentiality and Information Sharing / 保密和信息共享

We maintain confidentiality while recognizing that:

  • The welfare of the child overrides any duty of confidentiality
  • Information may be shared with relevant authorities when necessary
  • Parents have the right to be informed unless doing so would increase risk
  • All records are stored securely and in compliance with GDPR

11. Allegations Against Staff / 针对员工的指控

All allegations against staff will be:

  • Taken seriously and investigated thoroughly / 认真对待并彻底调查
  • Reported to the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) / 报告给地方当局指定官员
  • Handled in accordance with statutory guidance / 按照法定指导处理
  • Subject to appropriate disciplinary procedures / 遵守适当的纪律程序

12. Photography and Social Media / 摄影和社交媒体

We have clear policies regarding:

  • Parental consent for photographs / 摄影的家长同意
  • Safe storage of images / 图像的安全存储
  • Appropriate use of social media / 社交媒体的适当使用
  • Privacy settings and controls / 隐私设置和控制

13. Physical Contact and Restraint / 身体接触和约束

Physical contact with children should be:

  • Appropriate and professional / 适当和专业
  • Necessary and proportionate / 必要和适度
  • In the child's best interests / 符合儿童最佳利益
  • Documented when part of care or teaching / 作为护理或教学一部分时需记录

Physical restraint is only used in emergencies to prevent harm and is always documented.

This policy is reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect:
