1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the Bowen Education Group website and services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Services
Bowen Education Group provides educational services including but not limited to:
- Chinese language education
- Academic tutoring (GCSE and A-Level)
- Chess club training
- Badminton club training
- Holiday activities programmes (HAF)
- Cultural events and activities
3. Registration and Enrollment
3.1 Eligibility
Services are generally available to children aged 5-16 years. Some programmes may have specific age requirements.
3.2 Enrollment Process
- Complete registration forms with accurate information
- Provide necessary documentation
- Pay required fees
- Agree to programme-specific terms and conditions
3.3 Parental Consent
For students under 18, registration requires parental or guardian consent.
4. Fees and Payment
4.1 Payment Terms
- Fees are due as specified during enrollment
- Payment can be made via bank transfer, card payment, or other approved methods
- Payment plans may be available upon request
4.2 Refund Policy
- Full refund if withdrawal occurs before the term starts
- Pro-rata refund during the first two weeks of term
- No refunds after the second week of term
- Exceptions may be made for medical or emergency circumstances at our discretion
4.3 Late Payment
Failure to pay fees by the due date may result in suspension of services.
5. Code of Conduct
All students and parents are expected to:
- Treat staff, other students, and property with respect
- Follow safety rules and instructions
- Attend sessions punctually and regularly
- Notify us of absences in advance when possible
- Support a positive learning environment
Violations may result in disciplinary action, including termination of services without refund.
6. Health and Safety
6.1 Medical Information
Parents must provide accurate medical information, including allergies, medications, and emergency contacts.
6.2 Illness
Students who are unwell should not attend sessions. We reserve the right to send home students who appear ill.
6.3 Injuries
While we take every precaution, we cannot be held liable for injuries resulting from normal participation in activities, except where caused by our negligence.
7. Safeguarding
We are committed to safeguarding all children. Please refer to our Safeguarding Policy for full details. All staff are DBS checked and trained in child protection.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on our website and in our materials is protected by copyright and belongs to Bowen Education Group or our licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.
9. Photography and Media
We may take photographs or videos during activities for promotional purposes. Parents can opt out by notifying us in writing.
10. Data Protection
We collect and process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR regulations.
11. Cancellation of Services
11.1 By Us
We reserve the right to cancel or modify services due to:
- Insufficient enrollment
- Venue unavailability
- Staff illness or emergency
- Weather or safety concerns
In such cases, we will provide refunds or alternative arrangements.
11.2 By You
Parents may withdraw their child by providing written notice. Refunds will be subject to our refund policy.
12. Liability
Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific service in question, except in cases of death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
13. Insurance
We maintain appropriate public liability insurance. Parents are responsible for ensuring their children have personal accident insurance if desired.
14. Complaints
We take complaints seriously. Please contact us at info@boweneducation.org. We will acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and provide a full response within 14 days.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
16. Governing Law
These terms are governed by English law, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of English courts.
